Do you ever wonder how you, someone in Christ, are supposed to relate to those outside Christ? In attempting to formulate a plan, some Christians have fallen overboard into the high seas of extremes.
For example, some of us build our own little “Christian” world and have no contact with “outsiders.” To avoid this extreme, others of us go the opposite direction and become undercover saints who expertly camouflage our faith.
Both of these approaches only distort Christ's message and dilute its impact. And no one knows this better than our enemy Satan. One of his favourite tactics is to tip our ship—every so slightly—and watch us lose our solid footing and go plunging into extremes. Jesus, however, the Friend of Sinners, offers us another option—one that protects us against extremes and helps us keep and even keel.
