Authenticity. That one word says it all. Most of us are weary of substitutes. We prefer the genuine to the imitation. This is especially true when it comes to our relationship with the living Lord and our relationships with one another. And within that category, the highest priority is the home. Nobody enjoys hypocrisy. Nor do we wish to cultivate a phoney lifestyle with our family members. But we often do. Not infrequently we look back and realize that the alleged Christian home we were telling ourselves we had was, in actuality, hardly that at all. So, let’s think through some of the distinctives that make a home genuinely Christian.
