Charles R. Swindoll
How many times have we said to others, “If only . . .” Two words of deepest regret. Words of shamed remembrance. Words that admit openly we have blown it. Studying Scripture can elicit such feelings as we realize how many mistakes we’ve made in our lives— intellectual mistakes, conversational mistakes, spiritual mistakes, and people mistakes—especially with people we love, such as our own children. But although it’s impossible to turn back the clock, Scripture teaches us that we can turn the negative memories of our mistakes into something positive.
