Paul and Barnabas consistently maintained a godly attitude throughout their missionary journey. The two men faced and overcame countless setbacks and obstacles, yet they stayed focused on their goal of preaching the Word of God. They expected hardships and planned their response ahead of time. They more they obeyed, the more they learned to obey. The more they trusted God, the more they learned to trust Him. When they responded positively to one difficult situation, they were better equipped to respond positively again.
In the same way, the more we depend on God and trust Him during the relatively easy times, the better able we are to lean on Him when the road gets incredibly rough.
