When it comes to healing, questions abound. Does God heal today as He did in biblical days? Are certain people able to heal others? What about the use of medicine? Should everyone believe God for healing? Is all healing from God instantaneous? Can we be healed one day then sick the next...or are all divine healings permanent? And what about emotional illnesses? Or overcoming addictions? Is there some method God honours? What does Scripture teach about how we should handle our illnesses? Obviously, we cannot answer all these questions, but we can learn much from one particular portion of Scripture in James 5. Let’s concentrate on verses 13 through 16 as we come to terms with how the Lord would have us deal with suffering and sickness.
