Charles R. Swindoll
In the first five messages in this series, we have travelled rather rapidly from one scene to the next. We found that the mind is of utmost importance, a veritable battleground of mental warfare. We even went a step further and found that there is a choice of kingdoms, which forces us to get off the fence if we hope to confront and to conquer mediocrity. In the message that followed, we discovered that such a decision is costly. Commitment is essential if we hope to soar like an independent, keen-thinking eagle.
So now it’s time to change the pace. Let’s slow down and stroll quietly through a scene that will add some needed perspective. Before we get so intensely independent and start operating as if excellence means isolation, let’s linger here at a place where love was so extravagant it was downright shocking.
