Some statements in the Bible are haunting. Their warnings “follow us” around, providing a reminder that nothing is hidden from God. “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). “The eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth” (2 Chronicles 16:9). “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, / Watching the evil and the good” (Proverbs 15:3). Haunting. Not only does God know all that is done, He ultimately exposes the truth so that all will know…and the consequences are often tragic.
