What an event it was! The second member of the Godhead was born in Bethlehem. God became man. This miracle is commonly referred to as the doctrine of the incarnation. In the words of the Apostle John, “The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
Imagine what it must have been like to see Him, walk with Him, watch Him work, and hear His words. In doing so, you'll gain a greater appreciation for His uniqueness — deity and humanity dwelling in one person. Our goal is not simply to glean theological facts from Scripture but also to bow before Jesus, as Thomas did, and exclaim, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28).
