Prayer is one of the most difficult, yet important disciplines of Christian life. We know we should pray but we often don’t. We know we should make time to pray but after a good start we usually stop all too soon. We know we should bring all things to God, throughout each day, but we tend to get sidetracked. Why is it so hard to pray? Why are we so inconsistent? How can prayer become an integral part of our everyday life? Dr. Malcolm Gill, a lecturer in Preaching, Greek and New Testament at Sydney Missionary and Bible College, discusses the purposes and practice of prayer.
