Charles R. Swindoll
Respect is not something we command or demand of people, it’s something we earn. And in the home, the most exacting of all laboratories, we learn we earn the respect of our mates and our children each day. Not only as success marks our lives, but especially as we fail, as we fall short.
Children can be the most forgiving people on earth. If in the midst of failure we admit it and we seek their forgiveness and treat them with dignity, respect comes our way.
