One of the reasons it’s possible to press on in spite of struggles, disappointments, and heartaches is because we know that in the end, God wins. Every generation has its trials, and every child of God must endure hardship, but these are mere chapters in an unfinished book…progressive scenes in, as yet, an incomplete drama. When the ultimate finale comes to pass, the good news is this: it will all fall together to the praise of God’s glory as He “causes all things to work together for good” (Romans 8:28). In the final analysis, evil will be defeated, wrong will be done away with, justice will have its due, and God will be “all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28). His Word will be proven true, His name will be vindicated, and His purposes will be accomplished. This last study of Esther is a helpful reminder of these facts. In a day like ours, when there seems to be every reason to believe God has somehow lost His grip and things are slipping out of control, we need this helpful reminder that in the end, God wins.
