Christianity 101, digital message

Charles R. Swindoll

Life is complicated. Even the Christian life can be difficult for us to fully comprehend. The Bible tells us to do so many things, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, even confused. Because this is true, it’s helpful to have some kind of “divine checklist”—a God-given list—which specifies a few essentials that should characterize our lives. That is exactly what we find in the last thirteen verses of Romans 12. Having challenged us to place our bodies before God as a “living and holy sacrifice” (Romans 12:1), all the while allowing our minds to be “renewed,” Paul then wrote about how we, as Christians, are to think about ourselves and, next, how we’re to relate to others in love.
